One of the great views of Mount Rainier is at the end of a three mile uphill trail from Mowich Lake past Eunice Leak to the Tolmie Peak Lookout. It is especially gorgeous at sunset -- the only problem being that it gets really dark when going back down.

Phyllis & Larey McDaniel Phyllis & Larey McDaniel Larey was born in Wallowa, Oregon and got his first clarinet and camera at about the same time in Bremerton, Washington. He has been enthralled with both art forms ever since and has created a professional life that neatly intertwines the two, playing bass clarinet with the Seattle Symphony until retiring in 2014 and showing his photography at Parklane Gallery in Kirkland since 2001. Phyllis was born in Fargo, North Dakota, studied music at Augsburg College in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Washington.
