#51 is a 2-8-0 consolidation type steam locomotive built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1906 to haul sugar beets and freight on the Great Western Railroad in Colorado. Pictured here at the Washington State Centenial Steam Engine Celebration in Yakima, Washington in 1989.
About Larey McDaniel
Phyllis & Larey McDaniel Phyllis & Larey McDaniel Larey was born in Wallowa, Oregon and got his first clarinet and camera at about the same time in Bremerton, Washington. He has been enthralled with both art forms ever since and has created a professional life that neatly intertwines the two, playing bass clarinet with the Seattle Symphony until retiring in 2014 and showing his photography at Parklane Gallery in Kirkland since 2001. Phyllis was born in Fargo, North Dakota, studied music at Augsburg College in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Washington.
